To start blogging about this early on... do i see a pattern here? My intentions are there, but i don't follow through! *sigh* And what am I talking about??? ;)

Baby #2 of course ;)

Due to arrive somewhere between October 25th - November 1st via c-section!

Lil' Tad is excited about having a baby sister & having one of each is such a blessing! We can't wait to meet Baby Tad! :)

It's beginning to look alot like... TEXAS?!?!?!

So we got our snow for the year... yup, year! I'd really like to see it make an appearance more than just a few days a year, but i'm also glad that we don't get BLIZZARDS like the Northeast does. No thank you, sir. Pretty sure i'd turn into a frozen popsicle. Lil' Tad, the hubby & Froggie Pup LOVED the snow and had a great time making it all disappear in our backyard!! The fall leaves were poking through the white in no time!

No snow ice cream for us though... just can't do it!! We have other friends that like to have this special treat with their kiddos... but the air just isn't the cleanest, you know. And i'm not usually one to worry about "germs" but I gotta draw the line on this one. Luckily, Lil' Tad doesn't have a CLUE about snow ice cream & fudge bombs work for him ;)

2 months since my last post... about posting more! haha :) And what prompted me to even THINK about my blog today, you ask... I was reading some really AWESOME Mommy blogs that someone posted on facbook! Sarcastic, witty, down-to-earth, in your face... LOVE IT!!! I know I have it in me... :) Besides, i've got to start documenting more of Lil' Tad's funny stories & adventures before he becomes Big Teenager Frog!! We've got a few years... at least 5, but at this rate, he'll be 13 before I know it!

Somehow i have stumbled across my blog again... I'm not sure if I even remember how to do this anymore!! Everytime i remember that i have a blog - i say that i'm going to be better at keeping it updated and that i won't go disappearing again for months (or years!!) okay - here is my 5th or 6th time to start back up blogging!! haha i'm such a quitter... which is weird for me b/c i'm sooo not a quitter. A procrastinator maybe... HAHA :)

So Michelle's blog chelle9279.blogspot.com inspired me to start blogging again about Lil' Tad! He's growing sooo much!! It seems like he was JUST a baby and now... POOF!! He's SEVEN!!!! Where does the time go?!?!

i can't believe i have a Kindergartner. Seriously, where did the
last 6 years go?? and why do they have to fly by sooo dang fast!!
but... he's loving going to "big school" and is definitely
shining in school, school work-wise. He's still learning the
rules: keeping hands off walls, lines, his friends, talking too
much, staying on task, etc. BUT... he's working on it & we're
staying on top of any behavior issues. i'm not going to beat
him just yet! ;) (totally kidding.. by the way!!!!)

Baby A was 1lbs 8 ozs, 13 inches & Baby S was 2lbs 3ozs, 13.5 inches - they were almost 2.5 months early! They are such little fighters and are doing soooo good right now! They just need to groW, grOW, gROW, GROW so they can come home!

♥ Thirteen Facts about Froggie Mama's Hubby ♥
1. He'll turn the big 3-0 on Saturday!
2. We have been ♥ together ♥ for 10 years & married for almost 5!
3. He has 1 older brother, 2 older sisters, and 1 younger sister.
4. His youngest sister was born the day before he was! They are 11 yrs apart.
5. He's a native Texan. Born and raised in the same city! *Yeehaw*
6. Hubby is a BIG poker fan & is pretty good at it! Don't be surprised if you see him on the World Poker Tour someday! hehe :)
7. He also enjoys playing pool, helping coach Lil' Tad's soccer team (undefeated by the way! Okay... they don't keep score, but the parents do! ha!), fishing, doing puzzles, riding 4-wheelers, & spending time with his family!
8. I love his sense of humor and playfulness! He likes to joke alot & is always trying to make people smile! He's definitely a *people-person!*
9. He played soccer from 6 yrs to 18 yrs old until he hurt his knee. It still bothers him from time to time.
10. He's hoping to go back to school in the near future. He's mentioned about becoming a High School Coach/History teacher. I think he'd be awesome at it! :)
11. He is horrible about falling asleep on the couch at night! And trying to wake him up is a HUGE chore! ha! He is such a deep sleeper... or he just like to ignore me! His alarm could go off for 30 minutes without disturbing him!
12. He loves his little boy more than anything! He's a super Dad! I love watching the two of them play together! Definitely 2 peas in a pod!
13. I'm looking forward to spending many more birthdays with my Frog Prince and growing old together! ♥ Happy 30th Birthday to my loving hubby!

Back from Vegas...

We had a good time. I didn't get to do nearly the things I wanted to do... but that happens when you go somewhere with a group of people. It's all good though! Would have been better if we had won some $$!! :)

My T13 is going to be a little late. Trying to upload pics so I can post 13 of them!! :) (It's going to be hard to pick... since I took like 300+!! hehe)

I'm glad to be home! Nothing like sleeping in your OWN bed!!

Thirteen Things I Want To Do While In Vegas

1. Eat some good food! A few recommendations from friends: Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse, Picasso @ the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay buffet and the Buffet at Paris! You can't go to Vegas and not eat at one of the *boo-fays!* ;)

2. Play some slots! I'm not really into any of the *card* games. (I've never played penny slots like Carmen talks about! I've played nickel slots though!)

3. Check out the view from top of the Eiffel Tower. I've heard the view from there at night is amazing! (Paris hotel, of course)

4. Hubby wants to check out the Poker Room at The Mirage. It is suppose to be the LARGEST! (woohoo!!)

5. I thought I wanted to check out Red Rock Canyon, but a few friends said that they preferred the Valley of Fire better. (I need to check & see how far away they are!)

6. Free Drinks!!

7. Sleeping In!! (I can't tell you the last time I did that!!)

8. Since my little sis is getting married and all... we MUST have a Girl's Night! I'm not sure if we're going to hit some of the clubs/bars or maybe go the cheesy (but FUN!) route & watch The Thunder Down Under! (ohhh-la-la!)I think we'd have a blast... and esp. since my Mom & Aunt will be with us! The looks on their faces would be PRICELESS I bet! ha!

9. Another cheesy thing - but I think I want to check out Madame Whoever's Wax Museum. I've never been & I think I'd have fun snapping away w/my camera! This might be the CLOSEST I get to a celebrity! :)

10. Floating in the pool. The Monte Carlo has a lazy river... and being lazy sounds right up my alley! (The weather says the high is in the 90's, so warm enough for this Texas girl!)

11. Area 51. Another fun photo opportunity. I gotta get a picture by those signs!

12. And that reminds me that I want to get a picture in front of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign! (I meant to get one of me in my wedding dress in 2001, but you know... I guess I had other things on my mind when I was actually there! ha!)

13. Another photo one. I want a pic of me & hubby in front of Little Chapel of the Flowers, where we got married almost 5 years ago in November. ♥ (and my sis is getting married in the same one! All together now... AWWWWWW!!) Maybe I should have titled this T13 as... "13 Things I Want to Take a Picture of While in Vegas!" :)

Thirteen things I like about myself

Last week, a challenge was made by Denise for everyone to do a T13 about things we like about ourselves. I think this is gonna be harder than it looks!! ha!

1. my patience. I can take alot and I hardly ever loose my *cool.* I think working with children for 10+ years has helped alot with this. (although I do have my days!)

2. my smile. I don't have the whitest or straightest, but I think I have a *sincere* one and I show it off often! :)

3. my creativity. It just hides from time to time, but once I get those creative juices flowin'... there's no stopping me! (speaking of... I need to use my creativity & catch up on my scrapbooking!)

4. i'm a hard-worker & dependable. i always try to do my best and give my 110%.

5. my sense of humor. I can be a little sarcastic & smart-alek sometimes, but it's all in good fun! :)

6. i give good hugs. I love to snuggle - esp. with my 2 boys!

7. i'm loving & compassionate. I care about other's feelings & try to be careful around *sensitive* people. :)

8. my car! hehee! okay, it's probably suppose to be more about my personal "traits", but thought I'd throw this one in to be fun! ha! it's fun though... and you know Froggie Mama *MUST* drive a green froggie car!

9. my hair. (even though I need to get a trim!) it's long, pretty, & thick!

10. my photography skills. I'm always getting asked to bring my camera with me... to school, to birthday parties, to friend's house, etc. b/c I take such "great pics!" Maybe I'm just better than the people that I know personally b/c I have alot of blog friends that are MUCH better than I am! But i'm learning & getting better everyday, I think!! :)

11. i make cute kids!! That Lil' Tad... he's such a stud!! ♥

12. i'm outgoing and talkative. i'm not "overly" outgoing... like "IN YOUR FACE", but I'll talk to just about anyone! (I get that from my Mom!)

13. Last but not least, I'm a great Mommy. ♥

Pre-School, Honeybirds, & Cardboard Boxes

Today was Tad's 1st *official* day of Pre-K. It wasn't anything special to him, though, as he's been at this pre-school since he was 6 weeks old! :) He liked circle time today & apparantly likes coloring w/markers alot b/c he came home with marker all over his arms! ha! Little stinker! I forgot to get a picture this morning before I dropped him off, but got a thumbs-up tonight! (notice the cool froggie pj pants!) ♥

My parents have all types of wildlife living in and around their property... including about a dozen hummingbirds or "honey-birds" as Tad calls them! :) I tried to get some pics of them all swarming around trying to get some treats, but the best I could do was 4 at a time! They are quick little buggers, for sure!!

Grandpa Johnny & Cam had lots of fun together this weekend! Here they are displaying the "Superhero House" that they made! So creative those two!!

We also had a play-date w/my friend, H, and her little one, Miss A. She is such a doll & has such a cute little personality!

I couldn't get Tad to smile! But Miss A is posin'! That's a girl for ya! Tad was more like... "Hurry up already!!" ha!

We actually made it to the Lake this summer! Saturday was *GORGEOUS* with a slight breeze... well, before the storm blew in, but we had already been there a few hours, so it was fine. Another *random* Thursday 13!
1. i busted my butt yesterday morning. i.am.so.sore! the floor was slippery in the bathroom... (prob. from hubby's hair products! UGH!) and my feet just came out from right under me. and of course, it was all in slow-motion. ha! hit my back & neck on the corner of the cabinets. it didn't really hurt THAT bad at the time, but i'm definitely feeling it today. as a matter of fact, when i'm done w/this... i'm headed back to the couch.

2. i hope i feel better for my girl's night this friday! ha! you know i *CAN'T* miss that! i don't get the opportunity very often! ;) it's my friend, T's bachelorette party! so you know it's gonna be some wild times! *woot! woot!*

3. one of Tad's best friends is having her b-day party on Saturday. Her Mom is renting one of those inflatable water slides & all of the kiddos are SOOO excited!

4. i hope a week & a half is enough notice for my sister's wedding shower! it snuck up on us... and i JUST got them out yesterday for the shower on the 27th! oops! most of the girl's that will be coming already knew that it would be soon, so it shouldn't affect anything... hopefully!

5. i can't believe my BABY sis is getting hitched!! only 31 days 'til Vegas! maybe i need one of those countdown thingies, too! heehee :)

6. Tad is loving his new bunkbed! i say bunkbed... not plural b/c we only put one of the beds in his room. We used the other space as a little cubby hole for him to hang-out in & watch his movies! My prince even hooked up some lights to help with the atmosphere!! LOL he's definitely got it made!!

7. one of my friend's father passed away yesterday. :( her mother passed away 5 years ago, so she's having a really hard time w/all of this, i'm sure. if you could spare a few prayers for her & her family...

8. i can't wait for Fall weather. it was still 101 degrees last night at 9pm! *sigh*

9. Lil' Tad has already decided that he wants to be Superman for Halloween this year. i guess they were talking about it at school b/c out of nowhere he blurted it out to me!! ha! works for me! he got one of those costumes w/the built-in muscles for his b-day in june! :) easy enough.

10. still no word from the soccer league about whether or not they assigned hubby as the coach or asst. coach for this season!? and the General meeting and Team Assignment for coaches is THIS Saturday!! i guess i'll call (AGAIN!!!) today! thanks for keeping us informed, buttheads! *sticking tongue out!*

11. i'm a little worried about Tad's asthma acting up during soccer season. at least it will be INDOOR, so that should help alot. his asthma is usually triggered by pollen & ragweed. *cross your fingers* for us.

12. we are not taking Tad w/us on her Vegas trip & he's going to be staying with 2 of the girls (they're best friends) that work at my preschool. soooo totally trustworthy & i know he'll be taken care of, but i'm not sure of what i should pay $ them? i've never had anyone (besides family) watch him overnight... and this will be for 3 nights & 4 days. if i did it by the hour... that would get EXPENSIVE. i asked the girls and they tell me i don't have to pay them at all... but come on! you know i have to & WANT to! :)

13. time to head back to the couch... and rest this aching back! LOL i sound like a grandmother! NOT that there is anything wrong w/acting grandma-ish... just not at 28 yrs old!! heehee :) happy thursday!

Monday Madness
1. How many "people" pictures do you have displayed in your house?
Oh gosh... TONS!!! I have around 35 just in my den & playroom area!!

2. How many times a month/year do you rearrange your furniture?
Not very often b/c our den is more long & narrow. The furniture pretty much HAS to stay in the same place!

3. Do you check your email every day? If so, how many times a day?
Yes, I check it everyday. I usually leave the computer on until I go to work in the afternoon... so if I see that I have a new e-mail, I'll check it through-out the morning.

4. How often do you generally look at a clock/watch on any given day?
ALOT!! At home through-out the morning to make sure we get everything done before school time. And then when I get to school - I check it constantly b/c the school buses & vans drop off the school-aged children at certain times & I check to make sure everyone is where they are suppose to be at that given time!! And then I keep an eye on the clock b/c by 5:30pm, I need to start cleaning off my desk! Between the parents & phone-calls, it usually takes me 45 minutes to get everything ready for closing time!!

5. How do you handle telemarketer phone calls?
Either I don't answer... YAY for caller ID! Or I just say "No, thank you!" right away before they even start their little speech. I *try* to be polite... but if they keep on going, I'll just hang-up! hehe

13 Upcoming Events & Random Things About Froggie Mama

1. I'm planning a wedding shower for my little sister. We leave for Vegas on Sept. 16th! I really need to get invitations out early next week! Eek! I haven't even started!

2. My friend, Traci's, wedding shower is this Sunday. She's going to get married in the Bahamas in September. I think getting married on the beach is the PERFECT way to do it! :)

3. Back to school & Open House for my Pre-School is the first part of Sept. I can't believe how fast the summer flew by! Wow! I'm about to be BUSY-BUSY at work!

4. I'm planning hubby's 30th birthday in October. I want to throw a birthday bash for him this year since he's getting sooo old!! hehe I'm thinking about asking my parent's about using their house... well, mostly their backyard b/c it's HUGE. And we may can still use their pool. It'll probably still be in the 90's in October! ha!

5. We should be getting a call any day now about whether or not they need hubby to be the Coach or Assistant Coach for Lil' Tad's soccer team this season. Hubby really just wants to be the Assistant - but the lady who does the registration acted like they were short on Coaches and since Hubby has a soccer background (played from 4 yrs to 18 yrs old!) he would be perfect. I know hubby doesn't want all of that responsibility - ordering uniforms, setting up practices, etc. and you know that *I* will end up doing just as much work, too, being the Coach's wife.

6. Soccer season officially starts Sept. 9th. Lil' Tad will be playing Indoor Soccer the first few years & I think they actually play outdoors on the field when they are 6 yrs old. I can't wait for the games! Tad is sooo excited about it and has already been practicing every night with his Daddy in the front yard. He thinks that he's really cool wearing his soccer shoes & shin-guards. It's too cute!! :)

7. We're still on the hunt for a new house. Hubby found a nice house in the country for sale, but it's vacant right now & not sure how to reach the owner. One of hubby's co-workers said that he talked to the owner when she had a garage sale about a month ago & she's was offering a REALLY, REALLY good price for the home & land. We haven't been inside the house yet - so not sure if there is something hidden that we don't know about - but thinking that it is just TOO much for her to take care of by herself since she's older. We'll see how it works out. If not... we'll keep on looking!

8. I can't wait for my sister to find out what her baby's sex is! At her last sonogram it was still too early - so I'm hoping they do another one in a few months!! ha! It'll probably be closer to 26 weeks or so - but I can't wait that long! :) I'm kind-of hoping for a boy... so that we'd both have little boys - but I also think it would be neat to have a baby girl in the family. So really... I don't care! I'm excited either way!! :)

9. We're on the hunt for a new photographer for the school. I haven't been very impressed with our current one & I know alot of our parent's feel the same. Heck, I know I could've done a better job than he did... and I'm sure not a professional. My boss actually mentioned something to be about taking some this school year - but I'm not quite ready to get into all of that. Plus I'm waiting to get a new camera first before I start anything like that. But - if we don't find a new one by the first of September, I'm going to take their Back To School pictures. We usually just do something simple anyways with a desk, chalkboard, and an apple - and I think I can manage something like that. I have NO idea what to charge though, etc. so I will have to look into all of that, for sure.

10. I can't wait for the Fall TV line-up to begin. I'm ready for my Grey's Anatomy & Desperate Housewives night! Even though I heard they are moving Grey's to Thursdays! Hmmm... that's going to just throw me all off! ha! Yeah, okay... TV really isn't that important, but I'm addicted... what can I say!!

11. Hubby may be looking for a new job. I think he's tired of his current one and has made little hints here & there. I think he's ready for a change & he's ready for more challenges. There really isn't much room for promotion in his current department and I don't think he's being appreciated like he should. We may be e-mailing his resume this weekend to a few different companies. Wish him luck!

12. I think I write this down (or at least think about it!) on EVERY Thursday 13 - but I really need to get in shape! I'd love to lose AT LEAST 10lbs. I know I'd feel better myself! Plus I have some really cute jeans that I want to fit back into this Fall. I'm weighing about 15 more pounds than I did before I was pregnant 5 years ago - so I need to do it now before I get pregnant with #2 or I'm really going to have some work to do later!!

13. My 5 year Anniversary to my hubby is in a few months. I had planned on going on a trip somewhere since it's been 5 years. (And then we'd go somewhere again on our 10th, 15th, 20th, etc.) But with our trip to Vegas next month, I'm not sure what we'll do! Maybe we can just spend a weekend away in Oklahoma & rent out a cabin again. That was nice! :)

This was Lil' Tad's first pet, Moe aka Momo. He is a Mini-Pinscher & was adorable... as a puppy! ha! He really was precious - just WAY TOO MUCH for our family w/a 2 yr old. I'm sure he's much happier now w/his new owners who didn't have any young kiddos & he was the ONLY baby. He definitely needed alot of special attention that I just couldn't give him! 1. I guess I've just been in a blogging funk lately. Not sure. Plus it's been a busy summer. Not really sure what my excuse is!

2. "It's raining... it's pouring! The old man is snoring!" YAY! We are finally getting some much needed rain today! Hopefully it'll cool it off around here & we'll actually get to play outside! This 1 million degrees weather isn't cutting it!

3. My little sister had her 1st sonogram yesterday and I was so glad I got to be there w/her! How amazing to see a growing, thriving, living thing inside of you! Wow! And it was wiggling all over the place. Awww! Notice I said... "it!" It's still too early to determine the sex. Maybe I should've said "he/she". ha! Her new due date is Feb. 10th! I'm WAY excited to be an Auntie! :)

4. Three of my friends celebrate a birthday today! Happy Birthday girls!

5. My 10 yr HS reunion was last weekend. I had a great time! I was glad to see everybody who showed up and glad we did the "alternative" reunion route. We had a BBQ in the backyard of one of my friends who lives right out of the town we graduated from. The *main* reunion seemed really lame & was $200 per couple! Ummm... nope! So... we threw together our own reunion & had an awesome time! She even made picture frames for everyone that said "LHS Seniors 96 - The CHEAP 10 Year Reunion" I love it!! *thumbs up* I even stayed up until 5am Sunday morning! Now that's really saying something for me! ha! :)

6. I think we are on the house-hunt again. Something small & simple. And a nice, fenced yard is a MUST!! Send all the **goodvibes** you can this way that it is a quick, easy, & painless process! I can feel the stress creeping in already! *sigh*

7. I have GOT to get my haircut! I'm going on like 6 months now! Shhhh!! I know!

8. My parents booked our Vegas trip for Lil' Sis' wedding in September. We'll be staying for 4 nights at the Monte Carlo. Hubby is not thrilled about the # of days we are staying. He wanted to stay longer so we could do our own thing a few days w/out everyone else, but as usual - it was too much trouble (you know I'm a HUGE troublemaker!! heehee) to try to book the days my parents were paying for and the extra days we wanted to stay... BLAH-BLAH-BLAH...

9. But on a better note - Sis found a wedding dress that she loves & ordered it yesterday! YAY for her! :) I know she's relieved to have that out of the way! I can't wait to see it. It's not a traditional, white dress... but almost "mocha" colored she said.

10. It's now 9:30 & Tad is still snoozing away! Lazy bum! ha!

11. I have no idea what our weekend plans are?? Hubby's cousin & g-friend are suppose to be staying w/us... so I wonder what hubby is planning on doing to entertain everybody?! I really wanted to make it to Six Flags Over Texas this summer - and that's closer to where his cousin lives, so maybe we should switch the weekend plans and stay with THEM!

12. SIL leaves for college in 20 days. Hubby is sad... but she's only going to be less than an hour away! And he gets to travel that way with work pretty often... so she's really not "leaving" IMO. :)

13. Tad had his picture taken at school yesterday. It's the yearly "dress-up" picture - and this year's "costumes" were: Dalls Cowboy jacket & hat w/a football helmet as a prop for him to rest his hands on - (my parents are going to love this one! Die-hard Cowboy fans!!); A soccer jersey, visor, and soccer ball as the prop (definitely going to be hubby, SIL, and MIL's fav); A camo hat, jacket, and a duck; and a navy suit w/red tie & he was holding a copy of Money Magazine! Very cute! :) I can't wait to see them! I'm sure I'll buy them ALL! :)

I've been a *MAJOR* slacker lately with my blog! I was getting so good where I would post EVERY day & now look at the # of posts for July! Pitiful!

So... what's been going on?! - you ask!

Lil' Tad just had his 4 yr old check-up. He had to get 4 shots & it was quite an ordeal! I had to hold him down & the nurse how to help me! Poor baby!! This was probably the worst of them all... esp. since he's older now and knows it was coming! He had a reaction to them this weekend - some spots on his tummy & chest plus ran a slight fever. All is better today now, as far as the fever goes, but still have some splotches. They don't seem to bother or itch him, so that's good. He also had his 1st hearing & eye test and all was perfect, of course! :) My little man weighs in at 39.2 lbs & is 41.5 inches tall. He's just growing, growing, growing!

On a sadder note, my grandmother passed away on Friday morning. She has been sick for awhile & has been on oxygen 24/7 for quite awhile, so it wasn't a complete shock, but sooner than expected. My Dad has had a really hard few days... I hate seeing him so upset. It breaks my heart. <3 She had a great 75 years - married to my grandfather for 57 years - raised 6 children and had 15 grandchildren & 8 greatchildren.

And then... to make it worse, my uncle had a heart-attack Saturday morning. (My dad's brother) He's in ICU for now, but expected to get out tomorrow, but spend the next 4-5 days still in the hospital. So needless to say - if you could spare a few prayers for my family - they are definitely needed!

Tad started Vacation Bible School tonight. He got a little scared by "the knights carrying swords who were trying to take away our coins!" And his teacher said he was in tears, but after a detour out to look at the donkeys & goats (set up like a stable in Bethlehem) he was just fine! :)

My 10 year High School Reunion is this weekend!! :) I'm excited to see (almost) everyone! I can't believe it's already been that long since I graduated... just doesn't seem possible. I wonder how much I've changed to other people. Probably not much!! LOL I'm still crazy ol' me - just aged a bit!! ;)

So let's see if I can stay on top of this thing! Someone kick my butt if I don't!

Our trip was *FANTASTIC!!* Great weather, really white sands, beautiful clear water, yummy food & drinks, being w/my family, sunshine, breath-taking views, and an awesome house! What more could a girl ask for?? ;) Lil' Tad absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave! He loved playing in the sand, searching for shells, and jumping in the waves the most! He was such a little trooper & such a good boy the whole week! YAY! :) Hubby says that we've spoiled him forever b/c we celebrated his birthday in Mexico and he's going to think that we have to go on vacation for his b-day from now on! ha! What's wrong w/that?? I'm all for it!! *thumbs up!*

13 Ramblings from Froggie Mama

1. Counting down the days until we leave for Mexico! 9 days!! Woohoo!

2. We already have our luggage pulled out & it's in the middle of the den floor!

3. 1 of our suitcases is already packed w/bathing suits, towels, sunscreen, walkie-talkies, binoculars, and a few other items.

4. I was going to start tanning (yeah... fake bake!) a little before we left... but I haven't even been once!

5. I tore up the house looking for our birth certificates to take w/us & hubby finally found them in a SHOE BOX by our bed! WTH?!? No idea why they were in there??

6. Non-trip stuff: Lil' Tad is taking swim lessons this week - cried some the first 2 days of classes b/c he was scared! Poor little man! NO TEARS on Wed. though! YAY!

7. I asked him why he was scared/what he was scared about - his answer... "I will sink to the bottom!"

8. Tad fell off the steps & into my parent's pool last year. My Mom was right beside him, so he barely went under... but still went under nevertheless. I think that has alot to do w/his fear, although he hasn't mentioned anything about it!

9. We will celebrate Tad's 4th birthday on the 18th (and Father's Day!) while we're in Mexico! We'll have a party for him July 1st at Putt-Putt Golf when we get back in town.

10. I'm not sure what I'm getting Tad for his b-day. "Pirates and Superheroes" - that's all that he's told me. Well, I can do that for sure! :)

11. It took me almost 2 hours to wash my car yesterday! It takes a little longer when you have a little one "helping" you, too! My car does look very nice, though!

12. I can't believe that I'm actually almost caught up w/all of my laundry!

That never happens! And we're thinking about getting some laundry done while in Mexico so I don't have to come back & wash a WEEK's worth of clothes! ACK!

I can't believe it... but I haven't been online since Friday night! WOW! It's not b/c we had a really exciting weekend or anything, but did have some things going on. I watched a couple of movies this weekend:

Two For the Money - It was alot better than I thought it would be... and Matthew is such a cutie! (And my hometown boy! Woohoo!)

Rumor Has It - VERY CUTE movie! Hubby slept through this one (he was asleep BEFORE it started!) but I think he'd like it, too! You gotta see this one if you haven't. :)

Saturday, we decided to get a few things for our upcoming trip! (12 days & counting!!!!) Ended up spending almost $300.00 - A pair of Crocs for everyone ( a MUST HAVE for the beach!), lots of suntan/sunblock lotion, bug spray, Pepto tabs (you never know!), beach towels, walkie talkies, batteries, snorkeling gear, beach toys, juice boxes, & few things for around the house. It adds up FAST! And of course, you can't have a family outing w/out grabbing some yummy Mexican food while you're out! :) Sunday - we took Lil' Tad out to my parent's to practice getting his face/head under water again. It took a little while to get him used to the water - but a few hours later he was walking around in the shallow-end (I can't believe he's tall enough to touch already!) without his floaties! He even jumped off the bottom step & swam to his Daddy a few times WITH his face going under a little! WOW! A big accomplishment for him! He was sooo proud of himself, as we were of him, too! YAY! WTG little man! :)

And today was 1st day of swimming lessons! First thing out of Tad's mouth when we got there... "I'm scared, Mommy!" Awww! But the instructor pulled out a bucket of "swim buddies" (little figurines that float!)and Tad was gone! :) I snuck out so he really quick & peeked out from behind the house! He did really good - although he still wasn't too sure about getting his face wet, but he did a few times! I'm confident that he'll be my little fishie by the end of the week!

Sick & tired... of being sick

Ugh! I haven't been sick in FOREVER and of course, on my 3 day weekend - I'm sick. When I first woke up on Saturday, my throat was so sore that I thought I had strep. It got better after a popsicle and some ice-cold water. So, maybe it was drainage!? Starting running fever later and just felt icky... slept off & on all day on Saturday. Sunday - a little better, but still not good. Did manage to take Tad to play some mini-golf. Today - better, but still a bit feverish, sneezing, head is congested, and stuffy. Meds don't seem to be helping. My boss called tonight and she has the same thing PLUS body aches. Can I come to work early tomorrow for her?? :( I can... but don't wanna. *sigh* Hope tomorrow is better.

One thing that DID make me happy this weekend! We almost have our trip planned out for the week of June 17-24th to head back down to Isla Mujeres Mexico! I'm super excited about this plus Tadpole is going w/us! I can't wait to take him to the beach! :) And you know i'll be taking LOTS & LOTS of pics! YAY! After we get the confirmation about the beach house we are hoping to stay in all week - I'll post a few pics from their website! *Cross your fingers* that it all works out!

I can't believe I graduated this time 10 years ago! WOW! It sure doesn't feel that way! My reunion will be sometime in July! Can't wait to see everybody... well, I'm sure there are a few people I could live w/out seeing again!

But... my the main point of this post was to say **CONGRATS** to my beautiful sis-in-law, Miss A, on graduating Friday night! I'm going to miss going to all of her soccer games! However I won't miss hubby getting kicked out of games! (HA!)

I had a hard time getting my camera to focus being that it was outside, at night - and some little boy kept bumping into my arm! I wonder who that could be?

*Posting this a bit early as I have to go in to school early & not sure if I'll have time Thursday AM! You never know what the morning has in store for you... esp. with a little one!! :)

13 Things About Lil' Tad

1. He's about to turn the big FOUR on June 18th. (Father's Day)

2. He is an only child - as of now! :) Hoping to get him a baby brother or sister... someday!

3. He is also the only grandchild in my family... Yes, he's spoiled rotten!

4. Superheros are his fav. Batman, Superman, and Spiderman especially!

5. If you ask what his favorite foods are, he will reply - "Steak & bacon!"

6. He has a facination with counting right now. He counted to 100 tonight with his Daddy... in between commercials of American Idol. (He was rooting for Taylor!)

7. He loves to dance... and especially at weddings! That boy has "sweet moves!"

8. Flip-flops are his "shoes" of choice for a few months now! Takes after his Mommy!

9. He has a fear of getting his face wet/putting it under water. We're working on that and he is getting better. He no longer freaks out and cries when I try and wash his hair anymore! YAY! He's also taking swimming lessons in a few weeks! *cross your fingers*

10. Temporary tattoos are always somewhere on his body! ha! Right now he is sporting a pirate skull on his belly and a snake on his back. My little rebel.

11. My little snuggle-bunny. He loves to give "kissys & huggies" often. He likes to sit on my lap or lay beside me on the couch if we're watching a show. I'll take all I can get!

12. However... I'm usually chop-liver whenever my Dad is around. "Johnny" is #1 in his eyes. He's grandpa's favorite little man, as well. They are t-i-g-h-t!

13. I am so blessed to have such an incredible little boy. He's just amazing! I love him more & more each day! :)

Directions: Write 10 words with the letter you've been given - plus an explanation of each. TNChick gave me the letter R. Okay, I thought this would be easier than it is, so here it goes.

1. Raspberry Margaritas - My Dad has made me a couple the last few times we've been at my parent's house. Very cool & refreshing... A great way to welcome Summertime!

2. Rivers Edge Cottages - Located in Watson, Oklahoma - close to Beavers Bend/Broken Bow. I mentioned these before in another post. We stayed in one of the log cabin cottages last year and absolutely LOVED it there! Perfect, private getaway for us!

3. Running - Something I SHOULD start doing again. I've been "talking" about doing it for months - now getting my butt in gear is another thing!

4. Rat Terrier - The puppy that I had in high school named Daisy. She was soooo hyper, but so sweet & adorable. We lived out in the country, so she wasn't fenced it. We think she got hit my the mailman's truck. We never figured out what happened - but she had some pavement buried in her fur & internal injuries. :(

5. Rascal Flatts - Their newest hit - "What Hurts the Most" WOW! It gets me everytime... and esp. the video! I just downloaded it to my iTunes.

6. Ramble - I'm very good at that one! I can talk about anything!! I think this is a trait passed down from my Mother! (ha!) LOVE U, Mom! :)

7. Reality TV - I've heard both sides...some love it & others can't stand it. I wouldn't call myself a Reality TV junkie (or at least not at the moment!) but I do watch my fair share of shows. And I do admit that some are stupid -but it's my guilty little pleasure!! The Real Word, The Gauntlet, Paradise Hotel, Laguna Beach, Big Brother, American Idol - to name a few! ;)

8. Reading - I don't think I've read an actual book since Lil' Tad was an infant. My Mom did let me borrow a book she just finished, so we'll see if it actually makes it off the coffee table. I do read SEVERAL magazines though - Parents, Cosmo, Glamour, and People.

9. Reunion - My 10 year High School Reunion is this summer. I can't believe it's already been that long! The actual reunion that has been planned seems pretty lame and expensive, so I've been in contact w/a few of my old classmates who are thinking about throwing our own reunion at someone's house instead. :) I really like this idea - plus the people being invited are ones that I *actually* do want to see!

10. Renee - My little (and only) sister's middle name. Allison Renee. She just turned 22 in April and is set to get married September 17th in Las Vegas to her high school sweetheart. She also works at the same preschool that I work at, in the 2 year old class - and had the joy of having Lil' Tad in her class a few years ago. I just love her to pieces and feel so lucky to have a sister that I'm so close with! Not only sisters, but friends! :)

Fun in the Sun

We had a great Sunday just hanging out by my parent's pool. It was a beautiful day w/blue skies and the pool was a little chilly at first, but it took no time to warm up! I was afraid I was going to be bright red by the end of the day, but surprisingly I'm just barely pink on my cheeks and shoulders.

I mentioned a few days ago that Tad was going to be taking swimming lessons in a few weeks & we wanted to get him over his fear of water in his face BEFORE the lessons. Mainly so the instructor wouldn't have to spend the whole week getting Tad to put his face in the water! Well, he didn't actually dunk his whole head under, but we did manage to get him to blow bubbles and get his face wet - eyes, nose, mouth in the water. Definitely a start and I was very proud of him! :) I'm hoping to get back out to my parents a few times this week - to do some more practicing.

I needed the relaxing afternoon - and my Dad's good food! Burgers and then Pepper steak over rice for dinner. *YUM!*

Friday Randomness

T*G*I*F!

I can't wait to just relax this weekend. We only have 1 thing that we HAVE to do (go to my friend's daughter's dance recital on Sat. night) this weekend! Tad is taking swim lesson in June, so hoping that we can get out in my parent's pool this weekend sometime and start getting him ready. Yes, getting him ready for swim lessons sounds weird... but he can't even put his head under the water, so hoping we can get that fear conquered BEFORE so he can actually learn the other stuff during lesson time! Make sense?

Now that all of my shows are almost over for the season, what in the world am I going to do??? ha! Grey's (WTH is wrong w/Meredith?! Forget McDreamy and choose cutie patootie Finn! Okay, McDreamy is HOT, but... STILL! And poor Denny. I actually cried!), Desperate Housewives (house burning, hubby's cheating!), ER (CRAZY ending! Gun shots, kidnapping!) American Idol (well... almost over! I've been rooting for Chris & Katharine this whole time, but I think I actually want Taylor to win!), and The OC. (Yeah, I admit it. I like that show!! LOL And I can't believe how it ended! She's dead??) I'm going to miss all of the drama - that's the only drama I have in my life!! LOL Which I am thankful for, btw! :)

Off to surf the web for some Summer Themes to use at school this summer. We want to have some *fresh* ideas this summer plus keep the kiddos entertained & happy! 'Cuz if the kiddos aren't happy, the teachers aren't happy! :)

YAY! I MADE IT! I was worried there for a minute! *UGHH!*
What a week! And to top it all off... someone broke in to the preschool on Wednesday night and stole our computer! WTF is wrong w/people?? *ARGHHH!* And they climbed in through a really, really small window in our Nursery, which cut them all up.. and they bled all over the place. ICK! I'm freakin' glad the idiot(s) got cut-up! (Did I just say that??)And of course, all of the pics that I've been taking for the last 2 weeks for our Pre-K Graduation slideshow... Yup *sigh* They were on that computer and I didn't make a copy!! :(

Let that be a lesson to y'all! BACK UP EVERYTHING!

*Big Breath* So, I'm going to take all of the pics that I can today of the Pre-K kiddos & just turn in what I can! It's out of my control! That's the way I have to look at it! :)

1. I wanted to have an upbeat, fun T13 this week... but I'm so braindead, I can't even think straight. I'm lucky I'm even getting this much done! ha!

2. Somehow I always end up getting myself into these "projects" at school...At first I'm just "helping" and by the end of it.. I'm the one "in charge" of the whole thing!

3. And not that I really mind b/c I'm good at it and I do enjoy it... I just get bombarded & overloaded with it all. And it's always at the last possible minute.

4. I'm typing & putting together a cookbook for each of the 4 classes at school for Mother's Day. I still have a little more typing to do (after staying at the school until 8:15pm last night!) plus all 4 of the covers need to be finished & laminated. 100 copies MUST be put together by the end of the day! Yeah, I'm a little stressed!

5. We are also having our Pre-K Graduation next Tuesday, so we've been practicing for that all week at a Church a few blocks away. (where the ceremony will take place)

6. I've also been taking pictures of all of the Pre-K graduates-to-be for the slideshow presentation we will be showing at the ceremony. I have to have those burned on a disk by tomorrow and I still have a few shots to take! *double sigh*

7. I'm really, really not trying to be bitchy b/c like I said... it's not a big deal, but it's the RUSH of it all that gets me!! ha!! But somehow, I always manage to get it all done!

8. We had class group pictures yesterday morning. I can't wait to see how they turn out! We took it out by our pre-school sign in front of the school! We've got some cute kiddos, I do say myself.

9. Tad has had a great week at school. His teacher said that he's maybe been in time-out twice the whole week... which is REALLY good for my little stinker!! :)

10. And he's been eating good, too! *Oink Oink* I can't believe how much that little guy can eat... and he's not even 4 yet!! Whoa! He eats more than me!

11. Tad is visiting with my Dad & Stepmom this Friday night. They are going to pick him up early from school & then bring him back on Saturday night, so he can spend Sunday, Mother's Day, with me! :)

12. I don't know what we're going to do on Sunday. We'll probably go out to my Mom's and maybe swim (?? if it stays warm like it has all week) and grill-out! That would be nice!

13. This was more of a re-cap of my week & weekend to come... but in 13 sections!! ha!! Sorry for the boring T13!!! Next week should be better!! :)

Sunday boredom

I'm sure there are plenty of things I should be doing today... rather than sitting in front of this thing. This week is going to be crazy busy & I probably won't have much computer time (except maybe at night after Tad's in bed) so I'm taking advantage while I can... yeah, that's it! :) Sounds good to me!

I HAVE done a few things today - washed a few loads of clothes, cleaned the kitchen, put random things in their proper places, watched Scooby Doo & Toy Story, put together a Scooby Doo puzzle twice, messed around w/the settings on my camera while Tad practiced his "flips", built a castle out of Legos, made a batch of brownies, read the newspaper, & made reservations for Tad's 4th b-day party in June! That's something! :)

Tad's class is going on a field trip tomorrow all morning on Monday(and of course I'm going!). We have Pre-K Graduation practice on Tuesday & Thursday mornings, Mother's Day Tea is on Friday plus I have to finish up the Mother's Day Cookbooks before Thursday! (I'm in charge of the typing & the cover) *whew*

And out with the old!

We (okay... really just hubby) finally got our new hot water heater installed and working yesterday afternoon. We ended up just pulling out the carpet in the hall and it's sitting on our curb waiting to be hauled away this morning. It was seriously so drenched in water... there was no saving it! Nice concrete slab in the hallway now, but we'll get it fixed later. At least the smelly carpet is gone! YUCK! And we have hot water!! YAY!

We put our pool table in the classifed ads (1st run was this morning) and by 8:30am -we've already had 10 calls! WOW! Hubby & his friend are going to move it to Tadpole's playroom for easier viewing tonight when he gets home - so guess what my job has been all morning?!? Cleaning out Tad's playroom to make room for the pool table & cleaning out the gameroom that the pool table is currently located in so it would be easier to transport from room to room. I've been working my booty off for the last hour & a half straight (not even 1 sip of coffee *sigh*) and hubby calls & asks what I'm doing & WHY I am on the computer?!?! Can I NOT take a break and have my much needed cup of coffee?? Arrghh!!

So on that note - I better get back to shuffling things around the house!
I'll have to "play" later! :)

**Edited to add: Pool table is SOLD! A guy met hubby here during his lunch break & gave him $100.00 more in cash to hold it until 6pm tonight! Woohoo! :)
Oh, and hubby apologized for the "why are you on the computer?" thing. He was just worried I'd run out of time before work... which didn't matter b/c the guy came over to the house before we could move the dang thing to Tad's playroom anyways!
*hitting hubby w/a stick!* All that hard work for nothing!! Oh well... the gameroom and playroom are squeaky clean now! :)

I knew it was about time for something to break around the house! It's been awhile since we've had to fix anything and low & behold... our hot water heater freakin' catches on FIRE!!! OMG! I have no clue what caused it (????)- but we're very lucky it went out quickly & didn't catch our home on fire!

It also flooded our hallway and our bathroom - so you know how GOOD our house smells right now!!! *sigh* Hubby is at Lowe's, as I type this, picking up a new hot water heater & a wet vac. Sounds like very interesting evening is in store for us! We did convince one of hubby's friends to come over & help in exchange that we would feed him some dinner & provide some "refreshing" beverages! :) Hopefully it won't be TOO bad!

What a way to end the weekend!
