Happy Mardi Gras

It's Fat Tuesday and although we didn't quite make it to The Big Easy... we did go to our usual spot in Shreveport, LA to the Highland Park Parade. My parents, my Dad's coworkers, and some family friends participate in it each year (ride on a float) so it's definitely something we don't like to miss! :)

Cam had a great time and really got into the spirit of it this year!
"YAY!!! HEY!!!! Throw me something!!" he yelled!! Very cute!! :) And he really racked up on the beads, trinkets, and candy!


We had a pretty good group join us, too!! Mari-Carmen (my BF), "Awwie & Sabanna" (Allie - my sis & Savanna - Allie's roommate), Mimi(MIL), Ashley(SIL)& Michael (SIL's boyfriend); Billy, Jason, and Josh (my sis' boyfriend & his friends) and my friend, Traci & her son, Brett. :)








And of course, the parade wouldn't be the same without the honorary member of the Krewe of BBQ - Johnny Hot Dog - (my Dad)- Cam's favorite person!! :)

It's Friday!

So - I tweaked on my blog all night - and this is as far as I got!! ha! I want to make it more "personal" and more my style... but I have some reading up to do! I don't like that white background, but it'll work for now! I don't feel like messing w/it anymore right now!! :)

TGIF... kind-of! I have to work for my Mom this weekend, so... I really won't get a day off until NEXT Saturday! *sigh* It's usually not that bad and the extra money is really nice, so I shouldn't complain. Plus... it's not like I *have* to work for her - I offer. :) So quit your bitchin'... I know, right?

Weird weather update! It was warm yesterday - tshirt weather and tomorrow is calling for snow flurries & ice?!!? CRAZY!! We haven't had a winter AT ALL so it won't be that bad, but it's the back & forth that is driving me crazy! Warm and then freezing cold!!

Nothing else to ramble about today...

pickles, pj's, popcorn, & picnics

Cam's class had a PJ's & Picnic Day at school today. He was soooo excited to get to wear his Spiderman pj's and slippers! Around 9am - they had an indoor picnic with pickles, popcorn, Pringles, pineapple and punch to drink! They all had a blast!

"The letter P is my favorite! It's fun!", Cam said!! :)

Germs! Germs! Everywhere!

I knew it would hit us sooner or later. School is full of germies! Yuck!
It started last week in the 2 year old class. Kiddos running fever & throwing up.
I instructed all teachers to Lysol, clean, & disinfect the heck out of their classrooms! Let's knock these sickies out of our school!!

Well... I guess it was inevitable b/c Cam woke up crying early this morning. I entered his room and I knew right away what happened. :( He had thrown up all over himself & his bead. Poor little sweetie.

I called the school to let them know that Cam would be out today - but I'd be in at 12 - Shane was going to work a half day. The Director tells me that one of Cam's morning teachers called in b/c she's got the pukies and one of his afternoon teachers called in as well. Yup, the pukies hit the 3 yr old class! Ugh!

I've been cleaning off & on all morning... Hoping to prevent it from taking over our house!

Gotta go... I need to go watch my hands!! :)
